Message: "Valerica" - Behind the Name

I had stumbled across this name years ago and it popped back into my head again today. It isn't currently in the Behind the Name database, but other sites tell me it means "strong" and is Romanian in origin. What do you think? It's not really in tune with my usual style, but I think it's lovely. The added "c" seems to add a sense of spunkiness and spiritedness that the popular Valeria lacks.

It kind of sounds like a medical term. But I think the same thing about Valeria, so there you go.

Interesting. I've never liked Valerie or Valeria at all, but I think I like Valerica.

Ugh, i really don't like it. It makes my skin crawl somehow. Maybe because is sounds like medication?

I like Valeria and Veronica and this name feels like a smush of those two. I don't like the way it sounds when I say it either. Maybe with a different accent it wouldn't sound as bad lol

Yeah I kind of have the same reaction. It makes me think of Valero, like the gas stations.
