[Opinions] Lake
I watched Little House on the Prairie yesterday and then did some research on the web and found out that Caroline Ingalls' middle name was Lake. Pretty cool, she was born in 1839. A classic nature name :P
Oh and her daughter's middle name was Celestia. I also like the name of her youngest daughter Grace Pearl.
Opinions?

I love the name Lake, mostly on a boy, but I love Laken on a girl!
So cool!
So cool!
I know a little boy named Lake actually. It's not my style though.
I think it is kind of cool. It feels very modern & almost trendy though. I wonder, was it a family name?
I thought so at first, but it really was her middle name. I love Brooke, it's on my list.
Lake is nice as a middle name. I love Caroline.
Grace Pearl is also pretty ("short and sweet") and I like Celestia. Eve Celestia is one of my favorite Eve combos.

Eve Celestia is beautiful. I like it combined with a one syllable first name.
I thought so at first, but it really was her middle name. Yeah, it should be. It's a lovely classic.
Oh I guess it's likely but I haven't been able to find out anything about her being named after someone.
I don't know much about naming in the 1800s, I wish I knew more. I was actually surprised so many different names and middle names were being used. People were quite creative it seems. I thought at the time there were lots and lots of girls named Mary, but I guess that was a bit earlier.

I agree, Celestia should be in database
Nice combo. I like Celestia as a middle name, it's so unexpected.
Ignore

no idea. that's an interesting point though.
I have no idea. I've always assumed it was Caro-line, but I guess it could be Carolyn.

Ah, I love Little House On The Prairie. I read those books until they literally fell apart (I went through about four copies of "Farmer Boy"). I remember reading somewhere that Caroline had Lake as her middle name; it did surprise me, since she lived so long ago. I really like Grace Pearl. It reminds me of a 1920's flapper girl.
Was it Carrie who's middle name was Celestia? That's pretty cool!

They are really great. After a while, the series became a total departure from the books; still entertaining, though. I colored in all the pictures in my set of books with colored pencils, I loved them so much. Then my twin and I began to play pioneers in our yard. Good times.
Yeah, I think they will be very interesting to read! I think I should be able to get them through amazon or ebay. Maybe I'll find some other cool names I will like :P
Wow, I never knew that! I looove LHOTP :-) :-)
Caroline Lake is great. I really like Caroline; it's my middle name (Joy Caroline). I've never been drawn to Lake, but Caroline Lake has such classic, simple beauty that you have to like it. Grace Pearl is OK but Grace and Pearl are not my favorite names.
Which daughter's middle name was Celestia? Laura Celestia...Mary Celestia...Caroline Celestia "Carrie"? Laura Celestia doesn't sound that good...too heavy on the a's :-)
