[Opinions] Faun/ Fawn
Thought of this in my search for one syllable middle names. What do you think? Usable, too bambi?

I knew a girl named Fauna. It's not my taste, but I think it's usable.

I actually know a young woman named Fawn (this spelling.)Since she's the only one I know, it's her face that comes to mind when I hear/read the name, rather than our forest friend, Bambi. So, yes, it's usable. :-)

I think it would be perfectly fine to use Fawn. It's not too "Bambi." I mostly just think of it as a nature name.I'd stick with Fawn in terms of spelling considering that "faun" is a separate word with a completely different meaning than "fawn."

I think I like Faun and its meaning more than Fawn. But I'm a bit twisted that way.

I heart Fawn! It's a great name that you can pair the strongest soundng female name with and come out feminine as all get out.

It's a little bit bambi-ish, but not outside the realm of usability. I think it should be paired with a strong name, because it seems a little weak and flmisy on it's own.

I don't think it's really useable. I quite like Fern which is similar, it's cute, but I wouldn't use it.

I like it. I think the Faun spelling looks like it's for a boy. Fawn is nice I think. It's way too underused in my opinion. I don't think it's Bambi ish.

I didn't think of using it for a boy, but yes, the Faun setting is better suited for it.

"Fawn died in a kiln explosion today."Sorry, but I can't help but think of that line from 'Animal House' every time I hear this name.Other than that, it's fine. Delicate, but pretty.

It's certainly a bit Bambi, but it's also (dare I say it?), rather lovely. I think that perhaps it works best in literature or something, but it's not so completely bonkers that it would be ridiculous in reality. It is, however, about as unisex as it gets. The first combo I thought of was Adrian Fawn, but then I realized how very androgynous that name is (though to me, Adrian is masculine). Then you encounter the problem of not wanting a name that's too feminine (the full combo could seem super frily) or too masculine (the first name wouldn't pair well with the middle name). Here are some possibilities, but the list was made quickly and is all but exhaustive.GIRLS
Demelza Fawn
Ginevra Fawn
Hermione Fawn
Kerenza FawnBOYS
Amos Fawn
Eamonn Fawn
Evren Fawn
Ignatius Fawn (flows well, but the names don't really go, if you know what I mean)
Percival Fawn (an incredibly unrealistic name)
William Fawn
