I love the name Calista/Callista, but I'm not sure how to spell it. I prefer Calista, but I always thought that was an alternative spelling of the original Callista, and I like to use the original spelling of names.

But recently I have seen conflicting information about which is really original i.e. Callista is the Greek version and Calista is English/German. Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this?

Kallisto

Kallisto is the ORIGINAL original. If you wanted the closest Latinized thing to that, I guess Callista would be it.

I don't know which is the original. I personally prefer Callista so that you can use the nickname Callie.

I think it's Calista.

This is, also, the most beautiful spelling.

Hmmmm... I say that Callista is the original in this batch. Both are favorites of mine so the conflicting information makes me a bit curious.

I don't know which is the original spelling, but I think I prefer the Calista spelling. Its simplicity is appealing to me.
