Well, now that is a possibility because her middle name is Maeve.... It definitely wasn't a typo but maybe an inadvertant mis-spelling on the part of the parents and not a creative touch??

I don't care so much for the name, it's just the creative spellings in the name of being different that kills me. I mean why not name her Abigaia if you want something different. I do not, for the life of me, understand a person who uses a mis-spelling to be different instead of, GOD FORBID, actually taking a couple weeks out of the 40 that you are pregnant to come up with something better than a mis- spelling.

It doesn't matter how they spell it; she'll still be Abby. Nothin' wrong with Abby, but if you're going to love a popular name, embrace it. Don't pull a kre8tyve spelling out of your ass and act like you're original for using it.
Of course, there is always the chance they just liked this spelling more than the original...and as a Rachael, I should be more sensitive to that sort of thing. Heh.

Abiageal is the popular girl in fifth grade who wore Keds and had slap bracelets. Raychill is the poor girl who made her own "slap bracelet" out of construction paper and glue-on sparkles.
