[Opinions] Ahenobarbus
As promised, here's the Ahenobarbus thread. I first saw it not too long ago and found it totally epic. It means "bronze beard." How cool is that?! It's certainly not so useable, but hypothetically it's awesome. But it's such a show-stealer, I have no idea how well it works out in combos.I can imagine some stodgy guy in a smoking jacket with a passion for Roman history giving his son the name Ahenobarbus, first or middle. The other name might be something also with an academic feel, but more useable because his wife insisted their son have something more normal to go by.All I've been able to come up with:
Ahenobarbus Julian - like this
Ahenobarbus Virgil
Cyril Ahenobarbus
Gus Ahenobarbus - I think this is friendly and fun. Maybe it needs a full name?
Hugo Ahenobarbus
Quentin Ahenobarbus - probably my favorite
Remiel AhenobarbusThoughts? Ideas?

I don't like it, it's just too over the top for me.

OK, this is an absolutely, top to bottom fantastic name! I love it! Quentin Ahenobarbus is my fave of your combos with Cyril Ahenobarbus a close second! WHAT A GREAT FIND!

It's very interesting indeed, but Ahenobaria or even Enobaria (Hunger games reference...) as the feminine form is pretty.

Definitely useful for the middle name slot.

I think it would be totally awesome paired with a sort of nobody-name, like Ahenobarbus Stanley. I am definitely on board with Gus Ahenobarbus. Gustopher Ahenobarbus!

Ahenobarbus sounds pretentious. Sorry.
