I don't like it. It's a bit whiney and stuck up. That, plus Twilight, I say remove it.

I vote yes. I personally love this name, even though it's a bit tainted because of Twilight, imo. I personally go for Carlyle just to avoid association, but I think it's a fabulous name.

I think it's neat. Especially if you say it with a Scottish accent. Teehee.
But I would only remove it from your real list if it's not a family name. It's one of those types where I'd assume it had a significance. But you can always still love it anyway!

I definitely like it on a boy. I think it's usable on a real child. There is the Twilight connection, but I really don't think that would be a big enough reason not to use it.

I think people associate Carlisle with Twilight now. Maybe wait until the Twilight craze is over, and then it could be used for an actualy child.

I think it's a No from me. I am really not a fan of place names. I can kind of deal with they if they're named after a pretty or historical place, but Carlisle is just a normal town.

It seems a little snooty for a boy, but for some reason i think it's kind of cute for a girl. Not wild about Carly, but if she hates her name, she could use that as a nn.

Hmm. my first response was "too anemic and/or snobby" but the more I picture it on a little kid the more I like it. I'm not sure about it on an adult, though. When I hear it, I think of Robert Carlyle, but then I didn't read the Twilight books (OK, I read most of the first one, but never finished it).
