[Opinions] Opinions on Brutus (just for fun, I promise!)
It's not very usable as far as I'm concerned, but I found myself thinking about it a lot today (which is strange in and of itself, cause I usually don't like B names). I realized that it's a very good name to play around with in combos, but obviously the whole "brute" thing would make the teasing unbearable. Anyway, WDYT of these Brutus combos? Do you have any to toss in?Adrian Brutus
Alexander Brutus / Brutus Alexander (too much?)
Brutus Alexis (VERY cool)
Brutus Casimir
Brutus Constantine (ok, this really is too much haha)
Eamonn Brutus
Brutus Evaristus (ancient warlord, much?)
Fabian Brutus
Brutus Ferdinand
Hadrian Brutus
Brutus Hyperion (lol)
Brutus Ivaylo
Matthieu Brutus
Morgan Brutus
Brutus Theodore

Oh, I love Brutus! It's so unabashedly plodding and dense.I think Brutus Ivaylo is revelatory and quite beautiful. Adrian Brutus, Brutus Alexis, Brutus Hyperion, and Brutus Theodore also appeal to me.

Eetu Brutus.Kidding, but of your combos I actually do like Brutus Constantine and Brutus Hyperion, even though they are too much and even though I don't like the name Brutus at all. For some reason they really work for me.

Yep, the whole 'brute' sound puts me off unfortunately. I really want to like it because it's a Roman name with lots of history behind it, but I can't. It could work as a mn though, I like the following combos from your list:Brutus Alexander
Brutus Casimir
Brutus Constantine (ok, this really is too much haha) - I love it, it's very grand
Eamonn Brutus
Brutus Evaristus (ancient warlord, much?) - yes, but if your a writer, I would save it for a character, awesome combo:)
Fabian Brutus
Hadrian Brutus
Brutus Hyperion (lol) - hehehe, but it works so well!
Brutus Ivaylo - very cool
Brutus Theodore

There was recently a post about Brutus: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/baby/4096651, but not really any combos to have fun with.I think you did quite a good job at getting both some potentially usable Brutus combos along with some totally over-the-top fun ones. Brutus Constantine, Brutus Evaristus, and Brutus Hyperion, yes. I actually do like (H)Adrian Brutus, Eamonn Brutus, and Fabian Brutus. They bring Brutus up from kind of doofy to rocky and strong, but not overly so. And then Brutus Theodore manages to make the thing huggable. Who woulda thunk it?Alas, my husband has comandeered the desktop so I have no files to look through and find more combos tonight.

Ahh, whoops! I do apologize for making another Brutus post so soon. Oh well, not much I can do about it anymore. But yeah, I was rather fond of Eamonn Brutus in particular, cause it actually does seem like a usable combo. But I can't get too hung up on that, or I'll have a whole tribe of children named Constantine, Severus, Brutus, and Lucius (definitely over-the-top, when they're all siblings haha). That aside, though, my favorite Brutus combo is definitely Brutus Hyperion. It's freaking ridiculous, but it has a great flow/rhythm about it! I'll have so save that one for a pet someday. =P

No worries, the other Brutus thread wasn't asking about combos! I just thought I'd give you the link in case you wanted to read the opinions people had.I've found that Eamonn can take pretty much any name at all. Because he's awesome like that. You know, all of those names on siblings would be over-the-top, but if I ever encountered that set of kids I would really admire their parents for being so bold. And they won't always be linked to each other. Severus will have his own friends and go off and have his life and then some girl will ask him if he has siblings and what their names are and he'll say he has 3 brothers, Constantine, Brutus, and Lucius, and she'll be like OMG your parents are cool.I have a friend with 3 boys named D'Artagnan, Peregrin, and Archimedes, and if their forth is a boy they're going to name him Galileo. Epic.

Typo ahoy! (Should've signed in...)Forth = fourth. Just so you know it was a typo and I don't actually think it's spelled that way. :)
