[Opinions] Rodney
I bet all England people have got the 'only fools and horse's ' theme tune playing in their head. But wdyt of it?I like it though [ those who have seen only fools and horses will understand] It reminds me of someone dozey and I think people would think of him instantly.I prononce it ROD-nee
not RAD-nee

I'm not too keen on Rod- names, though I'm not sure whether that's because of Rodney Trotter or not...;-) I don't think I'd ever use it (though I *would* use Derek, NN Del, as he's my favourite character). Do you like the NN Roddie? Rodders? ^ ^

I never got into 'Only Fools and Horses', so I didn't think of that. But there's something geeky, almost humorous, about Rodney that I don't like. I don't think it'd be easy for a modern child to carry. But it's far better than Roderick imo, which I can't stand._____________________________________________________________________Elinor"If you want to make a sound like James Blunt singing, simply take one fork, and drag it down a greasy plate."

I don't like it at all, because of 'Only Fools and Horses'. I love the programme, but the name Rodney is way too connected to the character for me.I prefer Dave. ;)Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I rather like it but it also makes me think of a radio show where a guy name Rodney was a gang member and always teasing little kids so it does have some negative tones for me. But then I also know a quiet, kind, elderly man named Rodney so that's what makes me like it! :)

I used to really like Rodney but Roderick's overtaken it. It's still on my list though. The OFAH theme tune didn't play in my head but I did have the urge to add "You plonka!" on the end :D

I love the name Roderick. Rodney pales in comparison, sorry. I do like Roger, though, or even Reginald, nn Reggie / Rex.

Rodney is an alright name. I think of the movie "Robots" whenever I hear it. Never seen 'only fools and horses,' though. Sorry.
