As a GP it's fun on a stick. Come to think of it, Gennadiya is even usable because if she doesn't like it the obvious nn Nadia is right there.

I'm getting to be more and more a fan of names with heavy B and G sounds in them.

The "y" is in there for strict transliteration-puposes. But I don't see the harm in Westernizing it a tad to Gennadia. It's the same problem I have with Praskoviya / Praskovia and Apollinariya / Apollinaria.

Xenokleia, do you have any feelings on the Gennadia spelling intead of Gennadiya?
