I love/adore Nora! It has a traditional, classic, beautiful, peaceful, natural feel/vibe to it to me.Spelled Nora!Add an 'h' onto the end and it completely changes the feel of the name - negatively. Add an 'h' onto the end and I go from loving it to hating it.

I'm delighted that Nora has made a comeback. It's a sweet retro name that I find very friendly and appealing. It can stand on its own of course, although I prefer it as a nn for Eleanor / Eleanora. There aren't enough N names for girls.

I prefer Norah to Nora. I love this name. It's actually on our short list if I get pregnant for a girl this time.
I can't decide if I'll do Norah by itself, or as a nn for a longer name.

As a fan of simpler names, I love Nora as is!

I love Nora. Especially as a nn for Eleanora.

I love the combo Nora Katherine

I don't find it to be very elegant, but I do think it's very pretty. It's sweet, but strong and dark. I don't mind it as a full name, but I prefer it as a nickname.

Do u mean that Eleanor would be a full name of Nora?

Yes, or Honora, Annora, Gaenor, Fennore/Finora, etc.

I'm really liking Finora. Do you know what it means?

It's an Anglicization of Fionúir, which means "white ghost." Fennore is another Anglicization.

(Don't mind me, I just wanted to say that I've been secretly in love with Fennore ever since you first mentioned her. I should try to come up with some good Fennore combos one of these days.)

:)It is captivating! I had a major love for it a few years ago when I first discovered it, too. It's hard to pair, though! Maybe we should have a Fennore thread? I have all sorts of ideas for combos, and since you just mentioned it I worked on some and found some I really like!

Oh, I'd love to see your combos! So maybe we should have a (long overdue ;-) ) thread on Fennore.

I love it.I slightly prefer the spelling Norah because it looks more complete - Nora looks a bit more like a nickname.
