Almost certainly just Jessica spelt rather stupidly! I like Jessica much better.

Some people spell it diffrent ways but Jessica is more common. Ned Flat: Why are you acting like this?
Yakko: We're not acting. We really are like this.
---
Dracula: I am Count Dracula!
Yakko: Didn't you use to teach math on Sesame Street?
---
Yakko: Well it's that time again!
Dot: To make fun of the Disney Channel?

Eurgh..I hate kr8tve spelling, Its like a joke because how you prononce it sounds like your saying Jessica fast.
Id rather people hated me for being me than loving me for being someone else .

NMSAA, they should have stuck with Jessica or the original biblical form which escapes me at the moment. However, none of those names are my style at all anyways.

Iscah or Yiscah :-)As I said in my own post, Jesca was the Elizabethan form of the original Biblical name (probably partially via I -> J switching, also seen in such names as Iason -> Jason and Iakobos -> Jacob), and Jessica's simply an elaboration of that.I used to theorise that Jessica could be a combo of Iscah and Jesse, but was proven wrong upon further research. Shakespeare probably actually combined Jesca and the original Iscah to arrive at Jessica.

It must have been Jessica (or Jessika; maybe a typo), which I think is much prettier than Jesska.

Jesca was the Elizabethan form of Yiscah (or Iscah) from which Jessica was derived. They should've stuck with Jesca. :-/
