[Opinions] Ursula
I love this name, it's got such a pretty flow. But I grew up watching Disney's the Little Mermaid and can't stop thinking of the evil Ursula character. Damn you Disney!

I also think of the evil octopus woman. Aside from than, I find Ursula quite ugly in sound and appearance - I think it's the "ur" part.

I learned to love Ursula even after growing up with The Little Mermaid too. It is another good name that I think gets a bad rap because of a character.

I adore Ursula! I think it's drop-dead gorgeous.

I don't understand Ursula's appeal. The Disney character certainly didn't do the name any favors, but I really dislike it based on its sound alone. That gutteral first syllable, like the sound of someone dry heaving, just...ew. I can't find anything pretty about it.

I agree with you 110%. Nice name, but ruined by Disney. (I am not dissing Disney BTW.)

I like Ulla as the nickname.

I love the name Ursula. I think Ursula Callisto would be an especially clever combo, taking into account their meanings.

I'm not sure if it's the Disney character with me, too but I really don't find it appealing. The image of a giant evil octopus definitely isn't doing it any favors, though.

I don't know if Disney is the reason why but I've never been able to find anything attractive about this name.

Neither have I. I know it's a board favorite, and it is at the other names forum I post at, but I just find the sound ugly, in English at least.
