[Opinions] Re: Some new faves for you to rate and a pronunciation question

Julie - I like Julia better. Julie is a bit plain & was really common when I was growing up.
Robin - It isn't a favorite for either gender for me. It just feels really dated for both.
Carrie - Of course, it can work on it's own. It actually has for years (#20 back in 1880!). I don't understand why this isn't more popular. Maybe because in the 70's/80's there were a ton of Carrie/Kerri/Kerry/Keri/Kara/Cara type names. I like it as a nickname as well. I do pronounce Carrie and Kerry the same and I live in the US.
Mary - This is starting to grow on me. It was one of my most hated names because I found it super boring but now I am finding it sweet
Melissa - Ok name. Kind of lead to the popularity of Alyssa, Larissa, Clarissa type names imo
Jessie - I only like as a nickname. And I have seen Jessie, this spelling, as a male given name.
James - I like it best with no nickname. Very distinguished & handsome
I pronounce Aaron & Erin (air IN) the same. Aron, I would pronounce slightly differently, more like air RON.
