WDYTO of it in general, and do you prefer the pronunciation peh-NIN-ah or peh-NEE-nah? Thanks!

I can't think of it as a name, because it reminds me too much on Slovenian word penina which means sparkling wine.

I've always known it as Pnina, which I think is quite pretty; but Peninnah has got far too many extra letters. It just looks messy.A friend of mine, named Anne Penelope, used Chana Pnina for Jewish religious purposes. Very lovely, either way.

I agree with this, about Peninnah having too many letters. I like Pnina as well as Penina.

PaniniNo matter how it's pronounced, seeing the name always makes me think of panini. The natural pronunciation for me is peh-NEE-nuh, but I don't find it particularly attractive either way.

I know someone say that, but I'd rather the association be food then anything else lol...

Yes, better a food than anything else. A good panini is delicious, anyways.I have the same problem with Margery, because some people think of margarine.

But at least it tastes good and is a real name! At least it isn't like naming your kid after Spinach or something lol.

I like it, but I don't think I'd personally consider it. I think the spelling makes more sense pronounced "peh-NIN-uh" due to the double Ns.
