Try the facts board for origins.
Opinion wise, Caedus looks like someone wanted to use Caden, but didn't want their kid to be the hundreth -aden in his school. Also, Star Wars fans would be joking about Caedus wanting to kill his cousin/ sister/ whatever the relation happens to be Mara Jade if they were in the same family/ town.

You'd have to be pretty hard core Star Wars geek. Mara Jade and Caedus (future son?) would be first cousins.
