I love the name Maia, particularly when it's spelled Maya.
I don't know anybody with the first name Maia or Maya or Mya, but I do know a girl named Shelby Maia.
I love the combo Maia Wren Luisa. It flows really well and is nicely balanced.
No, I would automatically say "MY-ah", and I greatly prefer it pronounced "MY-ah".
