[Opinions] Castle
I kid you not, I met a boy named Castle today. I was at my cousin's birthday party and this woman was there who kept calling for Castle. I thought she was talking about the dog that was there, but no, she was calling her child. I even asked her flat out what his name was because I thought I was hearing her wrong.. Castle.. Good lord.

There are certain actual words that work as names. For instance, River is really growing on me. If I were to use it, I'd pair it with a more traditional name and if the child feels as though his name is just a little too "out there" he could go by the middle. However, what possesses someone to believe that Castle is a good name for a child is just beyond me. River sounds neutral after you say it a few times. Castle never does. You cannot escape the connotations attached to the word Castle, and even if you were to somehow surpass what has been beaten into your head as the meaning of that word, it still doesn't sound nice. -stle is a strange way to end a name.
