[Opinions] Asterope
It's from Greek mythology, and it's the name of one of the stars in the Pleiades (I found it on a list of astronomy names on a British name blog; it's not in the BtN database). I'm not sure what it means, but judging from what I know about Greek name roots, I think it means "star-maiden" or "maiden of the stars." Correct me if I'm wrong.
WDYT? Personally, I love it!

is it /ah STARE oh pee/? I kind of like it! Never heard it before, but it looks intriguing. I'm not sure if I can see it on an actual person, but it sounds pretty and I like the meaning.

It makes me think of apostrophe and other grammatical or medical terms or devices (like a stethoscope) for some reason...

I first thought of apostrophe, too, and at first glance thought my idea of turning symbols into names (Asterisk, Ampersand) was catching on! Hehe. But I do like Asterope.
