[Opinions] Re: Theodosia
in reply to a message by Billina
Theodosia is terrific! It's got the glory of ancient Greece combined with the zippy nns possibilites like Dosie, Dodie, or Theda. Love, love, love it.
Ivy Theodosia is my stock combination for her. It makes me think of that old Andrews Sisters song from the swing era. I don't know the name but the famous line is, "Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy. A kid'll eat ivy too, wouldn't you?" I guess it's the "dosi-" part in Theodosia that reminds me of the "does eating oats" in the lyrics. Odd, but that's how my mind turns.
But let's see if I can get Theodosia out ot the back seat:
Theodosia Helen (too easy?)
Theodosia Lily
Theodosia Pax
Theodosia Nyx
Theodosia Justine
Theodosia Leonie (especially pretty with French "LAY-uh-nee" pronunciation)
Theodosia Pascale
Theodosia Mathilde
Theodosia Elin ("AY-lin" or "EH-lin")
Theodosia Liv
Theodosia Maxine (sisters Patty and Laverne would approve)
Theodosia Winter
Theodosia Lilith
Theodosia Nerys
Theodosia Maeve
Theodosia Pauline
Theodosia Hesper
Theodosia Charis
Theodosia Natalie
Theodosia Phoebe
Theodosia Pilar
Theodosia Pearl
Theodosia Violet / Ione
Theodosia Colombe
Theodosia Hermine
Theodosia Phyllis
Theodosia has such a flourish about her that I keep wanting to use her as a mn, which is unfair. But she ends a combination so well that it's hard to resist. So I don't know if any of these work for you. I had fun trying, thanks. :-)
