[Opinions] Melora
What do you think of Melora? I think it sounds very beautiful. Does it sound too much like a made up name or a creation of Melanie+Laura?
It has a meaning on it's own there was a poem/play (don't remember) called Orlando and Melora in the 1600s.
Do you know any? It seems so weird to me that there are so many actresses named this and also a singer. I always see this name in opening credits. Yet you never really hear it. Does it have another source in popular culture? I mean all the parents of the actresses must have heard it somewhere. Just seems weird to me how no one seems to know much about it and how it's not in the database.

It does sound pretty, but I do think it sounds a little made up. It sounds a bit like the Latin word "melior" meaning "better". Apparently there is also a name Meliora

Yeah apparently that's where both Melora and Meliora come from. Melora was used in 1600 in a play or poem? I don't remember what it was exactly. So no recent creation.
I like Melora! I also like Meliora and Medora (sort of similar names).
I don't think it sounds like Melanie + Laura. If it was Melaura I would think it had something to do with Laura, but as Melora it just looks like a name in itself. It reminds me most of Meliora.
I wonder if it's a popular stage name, and that's why you only see it in the credits?

No, I think it's their real names. There's Melora Hardin and Melora Walters and then a singer, too.
It's pretty. It reminds me of Melissa and other Mel- names + Laura, but I don't really see that as a bad thing.
I don't know anyone named Melora, and wasn't aware that there were a lot of actresses named Melora. The only association I have with the name is the Ghostworld character. It's not a great association, but I still like the name.
