I love Winifred! It's definitely within my top ten. I don't get a sassy vibe from it, though- just buttoned-up. I don't love the nickname Winnie, though, which is the only drawback for me.
I think I'd pair her with an equally buttoned-up name, or I'd pair her with something completely opposite.
