It's my Grandma's name, although she spells it Teresa. It's also my Aunt's name - she goes by Tess.I think it's quite nice, and I think Tess is a cute nickname. Teresa looks better to me because Theresa looks like it should have a "th" sound at the beginning.

Theresa is near the top of my "Names I Wish I Liked" list. It has a lot going for it, but I'm just not into it. I'd be pleased to see it on someone else's child, though. My favorite Teresa nn is Tess. I love it so much, I'd use it on its own.

I don't mind it, I prefer the spelling Teresa, but I say both Theresa and Teresa different. I say Theresa as teh-ree-zuh and Teresa as teh-ray-suh.

I quite like it. My confirmation name is Therese (well, Thérèse) but I prefer Theresa. I think it might be slightly impractical with pronunciation, at least where I am, because I know a bunch of women named Theresa / Teresa / Therese with different pronunciations and there's not one that I instinctively go with, if that makes sense.I love both Tessa and Tess as nicknames. I know one young Teresa, who must be about 10.

It's a nice enough name I guess but not something I'd ever use. Maybe it's because I've known so many of them? lol

For a long time I thought it sounded dated. But about six months ago I started to like it more. I still prefer just Tess on it's own, as far as similar names go, but Theresa is pretty nice. It's kind of got a classy vibe.
