I just posted on Ally a while ago, maybe you'll find some answers in that thread as well. I love Ally. I don't really like the other spellings but Allie is alright. I would prefer it as a nickname but don't like anything it could be short for. I think it's fine on its own. It's not any more cutesy than Lily or Daisy or Gracie. It works alright but I'd prefer it as a nickname.

My sister's full name is Ali pronounced like Ali. Her middle name is Michelle. Even after 16 years it still feels a little imcomplete to me at times though.
