[Opinions] Purity
I think it's taking the virtue-names a bit too far. Also, it seem slike he parents are willing their daughter to be 'pure', and that creeps me out.

I agree. Although I don't think it's as creepy as Chastity, because the meaning of Purity is more broad. It could just mean pure of heart, like no grudges against anyone and no bad intentions, etc. Chastity leaves no room for interpretation.
That said I wouldn't use Purity, I'd rather use another name that means pure.

I think I'd rather choose a real name with that meaning (and there is a selection of them) than the actual word purity which doesn't sound very name like... and there's nothing wrong w/ wanting a child to be pure... a pure heart is a good thing... Doesn't mean she can't enjoy her marriage and the perks that go along with it... Still though, as a word name, it lacks appeal. Do you think parents should will their daughters to be promiscuous? That would be creepier... However, whatever the parents may will for their children, eventually those children have to make their own decisions.

Maybe Chastity, or Modesty (which I barely except) but Purity? That's actually really creepy...

Yuck. It's like Chastity - just, no.
