Agnes for meBecause a) it's a family name (the name of the farthest ancestor we've traced back to - in France)and b) NESSIE I'D TOTALLY DO THAT

Definitely Agnes. I prefer the sound of it. Agatha makes me think of Hagatha.

Agatha reminds me of mystery book writer Agatha Christie. i have never met an Agnes before so i don't have an impression. better yet, there is a name i love...it is the Swedish name Agnetha, pronounced either Ann-yet-aah or Ang-Net-Aah. think of the Swedish supergroup ABBA from the 1980's and the name belonged to the beautiful blonde lead singer.

i like both names but i like Agatha more

Well I'd say neither but since that's not really an option I'd go for Agatha. Which is weird because I love Alice, which people seem to think is similar to Agnes...

I like them both on paper a lot, but when I say them I do honestly think they're uglyI might pick Agatha over Agnes though? More of a lightning bolteta that I think they're ugly in the same way I think Maggie is, not irredeemably old-fashioned but it sounds like you're gagging

I depends on my mood: Agatha if I'm feeling happy and Agnes if I'm feeling serious. I suppose that's why I gravitate towards Agatha; she cheers me up. :-)

I don't like either one much at all, but if I had to choose I'd pick Agnes.

AgathaThere's no Agnes in Pokemon.

Agnes, hands down. It's not as hard and ugly as Agatha.

I prefer Agatha, which I adore and would bestow upon a daughter in a heartbeat, though I also love Agnes.

That's a hard oneI go so back and forth on this! I generally thing I prefer Agnes more because it feels more conservative, but sometimes I like the softer, more open Agatha better. I love both of them, either way.

NeitherSorry, both of them are not pretty to me and I can't think of a reason to use them with so many awesome 'A' names around.

Same for me.

Same here. They go beyond ugly-chic to me and are just straight ugly. If someone was twisting my arm to choose, I'd go with Agatha. Agnes has a slimy little sound that puts me off.

AgnesUntil I saw Despicable Me last week, Agatha would've won hands done. I still love Agatha...but now I love Agnes more.

AgnesThough I'd delight in seeing either used on a newborn. I do find Agnes significantly more adorable than Agatha, though.

AgathaI've just always really liked it. Its clunky but charming.

AgnesI'm going to have to agree with everyone else so far and say Agnes. I think I might like the idea of Ness as a nickname.

Definitely AgnesCan't stand Agnes. I also like Agnes with the French prn, but the other way is good too.

AgnesI find it prettier and much less harsh than Agatha. Plus, I'm a sucker for girl names ending in S.

I like Agnes best, preferably with the French prn.
