[Opinions] Lynna
Do you guys like this name? I'm surprised it's not more common.

I like it. Not enough to put in my pocket and take it home - I think I'm tired out of names with no strong long vowels and no consonants besides R, L, and N. But it does sort of hit the spot for me, stylewise. Like vigdis, I'd be inclined to spell it Linna, but I think Lynna is probably better in reality. It does seem like it could be more common, maybe on the coattail of Jenna.

I like it. The only downside is that people might confuse it with Lina (LEE-na), Lynn, or Linda, but then again, people mix up well-known names with other similar names too.

I like it. I prefer Linna though. Lynna (well, Lyna mostly, but Lynna too a little) makes me want to say LY-na, so that the first syllable is more like the Li in Linus. I don't know why. :P

Sounds like a minor character in Final Fantasy X's sport of blitzball. Not bad, but there are many similar names that are better.

I don't like it very much. Lena and Lina (long "i"; fem. of Linus) do both appeal to me, however. There's also Linnet (like the bird), which is cute.

It's ok, I suppose, but I'd prefer Linnea or just Lynne, personally.

Does nothing for me, I'm afraid. That -y- and the -a ending makes me want to hear it as "liner" - paper for putting in drawers, or a plastic bag for one's WPB. Also, there'd be a lifetime of confusion with Linda.I was at school with - of all things - a Lynné, who was always known as Lynn; one day we all had to be told that something very bad had happened to her, and the teacher who told us (and had never taught her) used her "real" name and confused us all entirely. Only when she saw our baffled faces and added the ln did we have a clue who she was talking about.

Doesnt rock my world, but it's cool.

Eh.It's just...odd to me. Lynn is pretty and simple, Lynna (especially that spelling) is nms. Linna would be cuter for some reason - probably because I wouldn't see my dad's name with an a stuck on.
