[Opinions] Milo or Linus?

Hello! I'm looking for opinions on our boy name possibilities...due in a month so it's time to decide! We like Milo or Linus. If you don't like either, no worries...but let me know if you prefer one over the other!

Thanks so much for all of your helpful responses! I think we've decided to go with Linus--inspired more by Linus Pauling than the Peanuts character : ). Also, this name is uncommon in the US (#994 of all baby names last year) which we like. And I agree with others that it grows up well. Thanks again!

Linus. Milo is a chocolate drink powder where I live, not to mention the Venus de Milo. And Peanuts isn't as prevalent as it once was, though the Peanuts Linus is a pretty good namesake.

Linusx100 better than flimsy trendy little Milo. Linus has all the smart overtones but with a bunch of actual guts to back it up.

Yay!If you choose Milo I will cheer!
If you choose Linus I will cheer!
Both are names that I love and were vetoed by my husband. Although Milo did make car-name status. :)
You truly cannot go wrong. I slightly prefer Milo over Linus, but I could be easily swayed depending on the middle name(s) you are considering, if you are considering any.

Tough call, but . . .Linus lives in my heart. I don't know if it's because he's more of an underdog with non-namenerds, or if I'm subconsciously remembering happy Peanuts and polio thoughts. But I've always adored the name Linus. Peter Linus is a stock combination of mine. I can see Linus Peter being equally handsome.You can't go wrong with Milo either. MiloNeither one is a favorite, but I do prefer Milo.
Both are pretty common where I live, but Linus is more common in my age group than Milo so I've met plenty of Linus's which makes me a bit tired of the name. So, I'm voting for Milo.

LinusFor sure. It's got such sweet associations, and it's nice and crisp and smart. Milo seems doofy to me.

I like both!I would probably go for Miles with Milo as a nickname, because I find Milo a bit insubstantial on it's own - it's a bit childish for a grown man.
