I really like Mae/May/Mai names!
Maé is a unisex name in France and is very popular for both right now but moreso for boys. In 2009 301 girls and 348 boys were given the name Mae. I prefer Mae over May but if I lived in France right now and liked the name Mae/May I would probably consider Maï (which means May and is a female name) and sounds somewhat similar.
