It seems silly to me, too frilly and it sounds made up. With very common "normal" names like Joshua and Jacob, I think Elliette sticks out like a sore thumb.

I didn't think of it being similar to Elliot, but I suppose it is. I much prefer Elliot over Elliette, although I'd only use Elliot for a boy.
