for a boy. I heard about this yesterday. The mother, unilingually French speaking , wanted a new and different name for her new baby boy, and as she liked the sound of Kayden and Jayden, decided, or made up, Mayden. In vain was it pointed out to her that she was in effect calling her little boy, "Girl" (Maiden).So that's his name.
