[Opinions] Re: Hope
in reply to a message by Lavinia
It's ok. The sound doesn't grab me as much as the meaning. I like the combo Sakura Hope because of a poem I wrote (called Tohoku Sakura) for the people of Tohoku and the feelings of new life that well up in the Jpns. heart in relation to Sakura blossoms.
Depending on whether it's the sound or meaning or both one is going for, it's nice being able to play around w/ names from other languages w/ the same meaning...
Esperance- Fr.
Esperanza- Span.
Nozomi (f) or Nozomu (f) - Jpns.
Can also use 1 of the kanji in the word for hope that can be prn'd ki and put it in various other names with ki in them... For example: 1 person I know had a baby last year and named him Kouki using the kanji for light and hope. I really like that.
