[Opinions] Porsha
Watching a TV show yesterday, there was a family with some names I didn't really like (Shaznay, Chantelle etc.). One of the daughters was called Portia. I thought "that's an improvement"... until it turned out to be spelled Porsha. What do you think of Portia? I quite like it.How about Porsha?

I really don't like Portia, but I do have a tiny inkling of affection for it because of badass Portia from Merchant of Venice. Porsha is vomit-worthy.

badOoooh. Well, I don't even really like Portia. But Porsha is atrociously tacky. It is like the prototype of tacky names.

I love Portia! I was convinced for like a month that I would have a daughter named Portia Daisy. Then, I decided I care about meanings and I couldn't see giving my daughter a name that means pig. It just seemed cruel.

I watched 15 kids and counting as well! Was it 12 daughters & Charles? Thought Chantelle, Charlotte & Carly were too close. Not a fan of either spelling of Portia

I watched that!! Really did not like Shaznay! (sounds like some made up name from teen mom..) I like the name Portia, but not the meaning. Maybe they spelt it Porsha so it would be like the car? Just a theory, cause i think the father owned a garage?

I think there was someone called Shaznay in the 90s girl band All Saints, lol. I agree it's not a good name :)

Not really a fan... My fist thought when I hear it is cars. Unfortunately, regardless of the history of Portia and Mercedes, they've become permanently associated with cars. That said, I do kinda like the name Mercedes if it can be separated from the car. Portia MIGHT be able to grow on a person, but I'm a bit unsure on that one. Porsha looks kinda silly though... and who wants to be stuck w/ a name that means pig?

I rather like Portia but Porsha spoils it.
