It's ok. Not a fave of mine, but ok. One one level, it may bring images of "Gone With The Wind" to some people's minds, but it's been gaining popularity in recent years, so that might not come to everyone's mind upon hearing it.

I love Scarlett. It is one of my favorite names.

I feel like Scarlett's been popping up on this board frequently the last couple of months. I'm sick of it, to be honest. It has an unpleasant harsh sound and a trendy celebrity feel to it. And it starts with the word scar.

I'm rapidly losing interest in it too. It's here and it's everywhere, you're right. Although I don't mind the sound at all. I'm just oversaturated with Scarletts.I'd prefer the colour spelling anyways.

I don't think it's everywhere. I posted on it some time ago (Scarlet) and I think it inspired one or two other Scarlett thread but apart from that I don't hear it a lot. The ones I do hear a lot are Alexander, William, Florian, Helena, Astrid and some others. When I asked to rate other people's names I think I rated Helena and Astrid at least 10 times and also Susannah, Oliver etc multiple times.

I have the feeling that it is getting more common though. I have a love/hate relationship with it. It might make the top 100 next year.

I like it, and I much prefer this spelling over Scarlet.

I wish I didn't want to add the Harlot after the name Scarlett. I don't like it one bit.

I've got the same problem! And also with Charlotte ...

Me too! I'm glad I'm not the only one.

My grandma does the same thing with Charlotte! Oh Grandma

The ironic part of it is that Charlotte doesn't really have a harlot image at all in my mind as names go.
