Help[Opinions] Elinor
Elinor honors three family members (Ella, Lin, and Norma). I usually just stick it in the middle name spot, but lately I've been loving Nellie as a nickname, so Elinor has moved to the first name spot.
Here are my questions:
1. Would you go with the Eleanor spelling just because it'd be easier? Everyone would assume it's spelled Eleanor.
2. Do you think the Eleanor spelling still honors well enough? The most important person out of the three is Lin, so I feel like it doesn't honor her as well. :\

I would go with the spelling Eleanore because it is easier and it would be a pain to have to spell your name all the time. Plus at least it still sounds like Ella, Lin and Norma. When people say the name it's still El for Ella, Lean for Lin and Nor for Norma.
I think as long as you know who the name is honoring that's all that matters. Hope that all helped.

I've warmed up to the Elinor spelling, though Eleanor is still my favorite. Elinor is clear and simple and easy to read. She'll have to spell it for people, but at least it's easy for them to remember once she has. It contains the "lin" component you want, so I don't see any reason to substitute the Eleanor spelling.
