WDYT? It is the Spanish translation for Rainbow, and how would you pronounce it? Any possible combos or nicknames?

I don't know.

I think it's kind of tacky using a word from another language as a name. It goes along with names like Bonita, Mignon, and Chanel (the last I can't stand; it's an overrated fashion brand AND it means simply "pipe").

ar-co-EE-rees? A lot of Spanish words have the accent on the second to last syllable.
Arc or Arch could be a nickname (and also an allusion to the meaning because rainbows make an arc). Iris could be a nickname too, except that it looks like the flower.

I think there is one. But wouldn't it follow the rule, that if a word ends in n or s, the second to last syllable is stressed? Geez. I dunno.

My Spanish isn't great, but I think it would be like ar-coh-ee-ris. I'm not sure where to place the stress.

EDIT: Found a forvo link. http://www.forvo.com/word/trucha_arcoiris/#es In the link, the woman seems to be pronouncing it like this: ar-coh-EE-rees.

I dunno about Arcoiris, but Arcenciel is a GP (French for rainbow, which in GP English would be pronounced Arken-seal)

I suppose you could use Coco, Iris, Issy as nicknames, but I wouldn't use it.
