I saw this on TV the other day: A young woman with the name Thois, pronounced exactly like Ty! I find this very odd. WDYT?

Could it have been Thaïs? This is a French name (also used with various spellings in different languages). It is pronounced tah-EECE. I love it.

Ha! That's where my uncle's last name is from! It's been mangled I guess: Theiss... Still pronounced the same though. Thanks!_________________________________________________
