[Opinions] Easter

It's intriguing, but the sound of it doesn't appeal to me all that much. I prefer Pascale.
I love it. I don't think I would ever actually use it. It is pretty. It reminds me of Esther.
Love it
Ever since I found it in my family tree, stuck amongst other perfectly normal mid-1800s names. It's a lovely name and Easter is such a wonderful holiday to be named for.

If you look at the meanings of the name the word Easter comes from, I'm not sure it would appeal to your beliefs so much, but if you look at my post, there are some alternatives you might like.
I'm aware that it comes from the name of a pagan God, but where the word comes from doesn't have an effect on me. It's the holiday itself that matters.
It sounds nice but if I asked myself whether I wanted to be called Easter the answer would be a big NO so there's no way I'd use it.
Definitely better in theory than in practice. Fine for a middle name, I do like an eccentric middle name. Pascale would be a better option, if it's the holiday that you'd like to pay homage to; if it's simply the sound you find appealing, perhaps Esther? Or even Easton, though I much prefer that on a boy.
I think it's alright. I guess the Crow song sort of points out the way it could seem silly (why would you decide to name a child Easter?) ... but it's far from the stupidest name out there, and I think it'd be reasonably usable.
I like it.
I don't know why I like it, but I do.

I don't really like. It might work for a middle name, maybe. And that is a big "maybe".
:-) nice pic. I agree that Esther is better.
Whoa, that's one creepy looking rabbit! The stuff of nightmares...
I think I like Easter, though. In a guilty pleasure kind of way.

Ahh!
Oh my goodness! That is a terrifying image. I agree about the whole Easter 'Bunny' thing. I personally wouldn't use Easter but I was curious about other peoples thoughts, seeing as it is Easter. I did some research and it was sort of almost popular for a little while 1800s and up through the 1940s. Though, that was probably before the Easter Bunny became popular.

That poor kid looks so traumatised.:D
It is an interesting name though. I just had a quick look, and found quite a few Easters born in the same period in the UK - many more than I'd have thought, and a few boys, too. Most of them had very average middle names, but there was an Easter Frost! which was fun.

silly
It's the kind of thing a rabbit might get named and everybody who hears it groans and rolls their eyes.
