Hmmm. Jodie/Jody is all right. I prefer Jodie. I know three, two spelt Jodie and one Jody. I've also seen Jodhi, but my mind just screams NO! It makes me think jod-hee in pronounciation.
I don't think Jodie's too nicknamey. I've never known it as a nickname, just a full name. It does seem popular on people born in the 70s, and to me it is a bit 70s dated, but still usable.

Isn't Bodhi a common name in some countries? It seems really familiar.

But Bodie isn't really legit either is it? So to me it doesn't matter because Bodie looks really made up too.

Is there a "legit" spelling for BOH-dee? I find the sound atrocious anyhow, so I've enver really thought about it.

Bodhi is a legit name from somewhere. http://www.behindthename.com/submit/name/bodhi I knew a guy with that name once. He appeared to be a stereotypical American white guy. I guess maybe his parents were hippies? Bodhi was actually #911 for US boys in 2010.
