It's not really my thing. I don't like Cammie, Camille or Camilla. I don't think it's common at all. I've only met one, and she goes by the nickname Cami, pronounced like Cammie.
I pronounce it kah-MEEL. That's part of the reason I don't like it actually. I really don't like the meel or the mill ending sound. Yet the French pronunciation doesn't seem complete to me.
