Meadow is super sweet, and I've never cared for
Willow. Pretty easy decision for me, though there isn't much rhyme or reason.
Having a
Meadow and a
Willow is a little much in the hippy department for me. I think the difference between
Meadow and
Willow vs
Anna &
Lila is that -A is a common sound at the end of words/ names, whereas -O (especially on girls) is uncommon and really catches peoples' attention, so two -O names stick out more together than two -A names.
They're less cringe-worthy than
Brandy &
Mandy, but aren't along the same lines as
Nora &
Sara (I think that's just the feel of the names, though).
I'd equate them to
Harper &
Piper, maybe? The -O ending sounds makes them seem very similar. Something like
Willow &
Margaux would be less noticeable because 1) the spelling, and 2) it's WILL-o and mar-GO so the stress is different, too.
Meadow with the stress on the first syllable makes them more rhymey.
