[Opinions] Rosarie...Rosaire
I totally read that as Rosaire (thank God I read the other comments) which is a rather uncommon french male name that means rosary and I was about to fan-girl over it because it's amazing and I think it can work for a male first name or maybe a female middle name. Rosaire Thomas, Jude Rosaire, Elizabeth Rosaire, how completely lovely are those? Rosarie I sounds like a nickname to me, either to Rosario or Rosaria (either can be female, depending on the cultural background) though the emphasis on syllables is a little different. I actually have a great uncle Rosario which I was very happy to find out. Rosarie is pretty and if it wasn't a misspelled word I'd totally jump on that wagon with you, but for me if I had to do use it, I'd do it as Rosaria nn Rosarie. I'm Catholic though, and I know it's not like naming your daughter Chastity but I'd be afraid giving a girl a name that sounds exactly like rosary would have a counter effect while Rosaria doesn't scream rosary and she can still choose to go by Rose or Rosie if she chooses to not want to go by the nickname Rosarie.
