I pronounce it like it should be, joo-ZEP-pe. It's alright, I actually have great-great grandparents with the names Giuseppe and Maria which is kind of cool. My mom met a baby Giuseppi recently, it's like a new trend for Italian-Americans to use the Italian variants of names now where I live.

Giuseppe always reminds me of Geppetto, from Pinnocchio. So it's difficult for me to take it seriously. I know it's the Italian form of Joseph. But I can't get the wooden puppet and his maker out of my head. :-/ "jih-SEP-ee," or "jee-SEP-ee" in my Yankee twang.
