I went to high school with a Marlo. Not a picture of sophistication (hilariously crass) but lovely girl nonetheless! I'd never seen the name before, but I'm a little surprised it's not in the database too.

I love this name! I see someone who is outspoken and athletic carrying this name well.

Of course, it reminds me of Marlo Thomas, and the main thing I remember about her is that she was a very strong feminist and liked to educate children so that they wouldn't grow up to be sexist, but she didn't want to have any children herself. You could certainly say she was classy and sophisticated, and so the name does fit that image for me, as well. But I don't like it. I don't like girls' names ending in O.

I know someone with this name actually, and she's a very sweet and pretty girl. I like it.
