I've heard two different ways. So how do YOU pronounce it? Thanks in advance.

lie-SAN-dur
The only way I've ever heard it is the way it's pronounced in the English folk song, "The British Grenadiers". In that, it's lie-SAN-der.

I've hear that song over and over never know what the words were but know now that I've looked them up I do remember hearing them before I believe it was on a children's music tape that I used to listen to a long time ago and the man did say lie-sander! :)

I'm not sure of the correct way, but I'd pronounce it lis-SAN-der.
Agreed
I pronounce it with the "i" soft.

This is how I personally pronounce it, myself. I prefer this pronunciation.
I pronounce it lie-san-der just the way it looks. It's a cool name! :)

And, this is how my Shakespeare class pronounces it. I wonder how the majority of other people pronounce it. I just don't like the possible teasing nickname of "lice" that goes along with this pronunciation.
Oh, well I don't really accent the 'lice' part of it, I do it more in two parts lie-sander not like lice-ander! :) I think lie-sander is how most people pronounce it though I'm not at all sure! :)
