Tirion is an actual unisex Welsh name that I'm quite fond of, so I suppose Tyrion could also work (especially since it bears visual similarities to the name Tyron). My first exposure to Tirion was as a girl's name, so it'll always be that first to me. But I like it on both genders.

Game of Thrones/ ASOIAF names...
Most of them are strange takes on already established names. I think they are typically in the realm of normality. Tyrion is one that I think could work on a real person.

I didn't realize it was the name of a character from Game of Thrones.
That being said, I feel like I'm in the minority. I immediately associated it with Tybalt. Probably just because of the Ty- beginning.
I'd use it as a middle name rather than first, but overall, it's NMS.
