I'm not an Omari fan, but I do like Omar.
I was just thinking the other day how unusual it was for a WWII general like Omar Bradley to have that fn. But then it occured to me that the poetry of Omar Kayam (sp?) was well known in Victorian Europe / U.S. when he would have been born. Perhaps his parents were into poetry. Just a random side note. :-)
ETA: And look at that. I clicked on the link and learned something new. Omar is also in the Old Testament. So perhaps it's not as unusual for Gen. Bradley's parents to have used it afterall. Neat.
