One Alec-Zander and one Alec Xander? That's strange. But I kind of like the idea. Personally, I love Alec and hate Alex so if I were to use Alexander (which I wouldn't because Alec can stand on its own, in my opinion) something like that could be a way to make sure Alec was used as a nickname instead of Alex. Still, people will probably get their names wrong all the time.
