I really don't like it! It's so cutesy and stodgy and boring, it totally lacks Elizabeth's grace and power. I like a few compound names but a lot of them just sound awkward and lose all the charm of their component parts, Annabeth is like that for me. I'd prefer Elizabeth or Anna or just Beth. Anna Elizabeth would be pretty.

Annabeth is the one name I actively like that has "beth" in it :) But I love both Annie and Betsy so Annabeth is an easy sell to me. Annabeth > ElizabethI respect Elizabeth as a name but I genuinely like AnnabethETA combosAnnabeth Viola

I like Annabeth a lot. I think it's better than Elizabeth because it's cuter, has more personality, sounds a bit younger (although both are very versatile age-wise), and isn't as "washed-out" (I think Elizabeth is a bit like John... it's a good name, but it's been used do often that it can sound a little bland.) I like both Elizabeth and Annabeth, but Annabeth is definitely my favorite of the two.

I like Annabeth. She's the girl in the back of the library who has a ton of sarcastic one-liners and wry observations to share if you just take the time to get to know her. That's what I think, anyway.

Never thought much about it before, but it's totally cute! I do love Elizabeth, and since I just now took notice of Annabeth I don't think I could compare them. :)I think it would be sweet with something that played up that side of it, maybe something Southern-y. Like:
Annabeth Clara
Annabeth Faye
Annabeth Larue
Annabeth Myrtle
Annabeth Sarah - ooh, I like this
Annabeth VeraETA: Funny I was just looking through some local BAs and saw an Annabeth Kimberly Harriett. Thought it was interesting!

Awwww how fun is Annabeth Larue! I think I might have a soft spot for Annabeth because it is a bit Southern sounding without being completely ridiculous...I think a lot of my favourite names, or at least the nicknames I'd use for them, fit that mold.Annabeth Sarah is great and Annabeth Faye definitely has some Southern charm going on.
Annabeth Kimberly Harriett is such a mix of styles that I don't know what to think!

Annabeth is a sweet name. It has elements of familiarity, namely Anna and Beth, but I rarely come across Annabeth, so it seems fresh to me. I don't care for just Anna, but I like both Annabeth and Annabel / Annabelle.I think I prefer Annabeth because it is less expected than Elizabeth, but I like Elizabeth as well. I love the nickname Eliza. Beth is a great nickname for both Elizabeth and Annabeth.Combos:Annabeth Noelle

I love Annabeth. It's probably my favorite "compound" name, and I just think it's adorable without sounding overly fluffy or sugary. I love Elizabeth, too, but I'd go with Annabeth.

It's sickly-cutesy. I think Beth combination names tend to be that way: Marybeth, JoBeth, Lilibeth.

I like Elizabeth and don't mind Anna but could never get used to Annabeth. I think it's extremely ugly. There's an actress named this, I think she did Lifetime movies. I prefer Elizabeth even though it's way too common. There's nothing wrong with Annabeth, I just really dislike it.

I'm fond of names like Annabeth, Annabelle, Annmarie. I would prefer any of these over Elizabeth.

I really like Annabeth. I'm not usually into hybrid names, but I really do like it. :) It's got a freshness and a youth to it that Elizabeth lacks, but I'm not sure it ages as gracefully as Elizabeth. If I had to pick one to use on my own daughter... ooh, that's hard. I'd probably say Elizabeth, just to err on the side of tradition.MN suggestions:Annabeth Gwen
Annabeth Hilary
Annabeth Ivy
Annabeth Marina
Annabeth Orli
Annabeth Paige
Annabeth Justine
Annabeth Kristen
Annabeth Eira
Annabeth Emily (I know, I know, Emily's really tired, but I love it as a MN)
Annabeth Emilia
Annabeth Eden
Annabeth Briar
Annabeth Lucy
Annabeth Lucia
Annabeth Luciana
Annabeth Margaret
Annabeth Ruby
Annabeth Freya
Annabeth Laurel

I love Emily in the mn position too...Emily is actually my favourite girls' name of all time and I will likely never use it as a fn but it is a definite possibility as a mn. Annabeth Emily is lovely!I also really like:
Annabeth Ivy
Annabeth Eira
Annabeth Lucy (I usually dislike Lucy but this combo is so sweet!)
Annabeth Margaret (this combo would actually honour three of the most important women in my life- Annette, Elizabeth and Margaret)Thanks so much!
