[Facts] Kjellfrid

Hi Jenna,
At the moment, the first name of 559 women in Norway is Kjellfrid. It has never been very popular, but it has been rarely used between 1920 and 1950.
You will hardly find any Kjellfrid who's younger than 50 nowadays.

I don't think Kjellfrid is popular. I have never heard of it before and it is not among the top 100 Norwegian names.
Actually, when I looked at it, I did not even know whether it was male or female. Sigfrid is male, Ragnfrid is female so it is not easy.
The male Kjell is used in Sweden too and we pronounce it somewhat like "chell". And "frid" is pronounced as it looks or like "freed".
"But it’s all right now.
I learned my lesson well.
You see you can’t please everyone
So you got to please yourself."

"It does not become me to make myself smaller than I am." (Edith Södergran 1891-1923)
